Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has become the first Swindon recipient of the STARS silver certificate.
The scheme recognises schools, businesses and other organisations that have shown excellence in supporting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable and active travel.
The certificate awarded to Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust recognises the trust's work to make public and staff transport greener.
This includes supporting staff to travel to work via public transport, cycling or walking and supporting patients with virtual appointments so the trust can reduce its carbon footprint.
A trust spokesperson said: "Well done to all who have helped to make this happen, and to our staff, patients and visitors for supporting our commitment to become carbon net zero by 2040.
"We know there is lots more to do though, and our next ambition is to hit the gold award."
