Swindon Police have been out in force this morning dispersing groups out enjoying the snow who might be breaking the lockdown rules.
Wiltshire Police are currently responding to reports of about 150 children and about 50 adults gathering In the Sevenfields area of Swindon and concerns have been raised that they are not abiding by the coronavirus guidelines.
A police spokesman said: "Please do not gather in large groups - you are reminded that Fixed Penalty Notices may be issued to those who do not abide by the regulations.
"We are in the midst of a pandemic and failing to socially distance and wear facemasks could aid the spread of the virus.
"We were also made aware of about 200 people who were out sledging at Coate Water in Swindon this morning - and concerns were raised about their lack of social distancing.
"Our officers have engaged with members of the public, to remind them of their responsibilities under the Coronavirus lockdown guidelines and we are pleased to say that most people have now dispersed.
"Please remember, to reduce the risk of catching or spreading coronavirus you should minimise time spent with people you do not live with, and when around other people ensure that you are two metres apart from anyone not in your household or support bubble.
"Social distancing is essential to stop the spread of the virus, as it is more likely to spread when people are close together. An infected person can pass on the virus through talking, breathing, coughing or sneezing even if they do not have any symptoms."
