This week, the Mayor of Swindon and members of the South Swindon Parish Council switched on the Christmas lights over at Broadgreen.
The parish council said it was a very well attended event, and they thought it was fantastic to see 'so many families come together with lots of festive spirit.'
The lights were switched on by Mayor of Swindon Cllr Abdul Amin, Parish Chair Chris Watts, Muhammad from The Harbour Project, and Cllr Adorabelle Shaikh.
A spokesperson from the parish council said: "We would like to offer particular thanks to Rhythmix Goa for the fantastic Christmas Carol singing, The Harbour Project for the amazing samosas and Swindon Goan Volunteers for supporting the event.
"Also a big thank you to Borough Councillors Adorabelle and Imtiyaz Shaikh for the McDonalds provided for the choir!"
The lights at Cavendish Square were also switched on last night - Wednesday, 23 November at 6.30pm. There were carols sung, and Santa paid a visit to the little ones attending.
