The South Swindon Parish Council have placed posters at GWR Park and Queen's Park displaying photos and information about Swindon people that have served in the world wars.

Visitors to GWR Park and Queen's Park will be able to observe posters tied to the trees which display people from Swindon who served in the wars.

A photo and a short description of their story can be found on the posters.

The parish council says the posters have been added to the parks prior to Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday to remember the huge sacrifice they made for the town and country.

The posters in GWR Park commemorate WW1, and those in Queen's Park commemorate those who served in WW2.
