Stratton St Margaret Parish Council are offering young people the opportunity to learn and work on an allotment during their summer break.

The council will be offering young people these allotment sessions every Wednesday from 10am - 2pm.

The sessions will officially start on 3 August, and those aged between 10 - 14 are welcome to join.

A spokesperson for the council said: "Come and have a go at doing some allotment work! These sessions will provide the chance for young people to meet new friends, and learn how to grow fruits and vegetables and where they come from.

"Just turn up at the Meadowcroft centre and Shea will get some kit ready to go and crack on. There will be a mix of things to do so be sure to get involved. It will be a fun engaging activity."

The Stratton council will also provide lunch for the young attendees.

More information can be found by calling Shea on 01793 823 761 or by emailing [email protected]
