A team from local radio station Swindon 105.5, took a trip down to Lotmead Farm's pumpkin patch to find out more about the seasonal vegetable.
Shirley Ludford and a team of her volunteers - Tyler, Oliver and Ben - from Swindon 105.5 visited Lotmead Farm to go to its pick-your-own pumpkin patch.
Oliver and Tyler travelled with Shirley, and met Ben at the farm.
Tyler Ody said: "When we first got there, we were greeted by Maria who explained the different types and colors of the pumpkin such as a Blue Hubbard and Munchkins which are the tiny orange pumpkins."
The team were then joined by John, the founder of Lotmead. He currently runs the farm as his family business.
Last year the farm sold 12,000 pumpkins, which this year was upped to 15,000 pumpkins.
Tyler added: "The pumpkins looked really beautiful in the patch, and the farm was decorated. John said that two of the scarecrows were made by him and his wife.
"There was a big model of a spider, which a student who volunteers in the shop, painted on the face.
"I really enjoyed my visit to Lotmead and I had a lot of fun. What I like about the farm is that it is wheelchair friendly and it is something fun for the whole family. You can pick pumpkins of any size!"
Lotmead farm is open seven days a week from 9.30am - 5pm.
