Members from the Stratton St Margaret Parish Council have joined forces with local community radio station Swindon 105.5 and have been given a regular slot to pass along updates to the public.
Jess Mutlow from Stratton St Margaret Parish Council has recently started her radio training with Swindon 105.5.
She will be on air every month, chatting and updating locals on what has been happening within the Stratton area.
Jess said: “By working and broadcasting onto another media platform, we will be able to reach a larger target audience. It is a great medium to use within our parish as we will be able to hear and listen to the voices from those living within our community.
"We are hugely grateful for this new venture as a parish and want to thank all the team at Swindon 105.5.”
Going forwards Jess will be live every second Monday of each month from 9:30am-11:00am with Des Morgan. The next live slot will be 13 February.
A spokesperson from the parish council added: "This is now the SSMPC designated slot which we will be discussing current and upcoming events, developments and updates within the parish.
"We plan to feature some of our Open Spaces members talking on behalf of the grounds team on the work they’re doing. As well as our local youth worker, Shea discussing all things youth club and youth club activities!
"Tune in to 105.5 to hear more!"
