The Swindon Scouts are offering a local postal service to deliver Christmas cards again this year.

Scout Post has been running in Swindon since 1983. Scout Groups will be offering their postal service across Swindon and surrounding villages.

Stamps are priced at 30p and are on sale from 1 November 2021.

They can be purchased from various retail outlets and public buildings across the area. Members of the public are encouraged to look for the poster advertising the selling of stamps.

Christmas cards can then be posted in green Scout Post boxes - not the red Royal Mail boxes - and will be available at the same locations from 19 November 2021.

Cards must be fully addressed with: Surname, House Name/Number, Street Name and Post Code.

Swindon Scouts would like to remind people that all cards must be posted by 4pm on Wednesday 14 December.

Local Scout Groups will then collect, sort, and deliver the cards over the weekend of 18 - 19 December.

All proceeds will go towards supporting Scouting in the local area – helping to provide young people with skills for life.

Queries about Scout Post can be emailed to [email protected] and volunteers will respond as soon as they can.

Members of the public can also visit www.swindonscouts.org.uk/post for more information.
