A drink driver has been banned from the roads after a member of the public being reported by a member of the public.

On 17 March 17 at around 4.50am, Ion Tintiuc, 48, of Homington Avenue, Swindon, was spotted by a member of the public driving in an erratic manner on the M4 and into Swindon.
He was then seen exiting his car and entering his property.
Tintiuc was reported to officers who attended that property, where Tintiuc was found and matched the description given.
He subsequently blew over the drink-drive limit and was arrested and charged with drink driving.
Tintiuc appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning and pleaded guilty to the offence.
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £300 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120 and court costs of £85.
Roads Policing Officer Luke Hobbs said: “This case shows the importance of information and intelligence from members of the public.
“I’d like to thank the member of the public who had seen Tintiuc swerving all over the road and reported him to us.
“There can never be any excuse for drink driving. If you have been out drinking, always find a safe way to get home.”
