Swindon man remanded in custody after sending multiple abusive emails to North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson

Feras Al-Jayoosi, 36, from Rodbourne, Swindon, was arrested by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing South West on 23 November on suspicion of harassment against North Swindon MP Justin Tomnlinson as well as a unrelated incident of criminal damage.

Al-Jayoosi appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on Saturday (25/11) and was denied bail and remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday..

He has been charged with offences of stalking and criminal damage having been arrested by counter-terrorism officers.

Swindon Magistrates' Court heard the alleged emails were about the situation in Israel and Gaza.

Al-Jayoosi is also charged with criminal damage over an unrelated matter.
