A call by NHS chiefs for Swindon people to update their covid and flu protection has been echoed by the borough council.
Protection from previous vaccines fades and the viruses change over time, and people are urged to make sure they are ready for winter by getting vaccinated.
The advice applies even to those who have had flu or covid, as well as those who have been vaccinated before.
A council spokesperson said: "Anyone eligible for the vaccinations can now book via the NHS website, by downloading the NHS App, or by calling 119 for free if they cannot get online.
"Local NHS services, including GP surgeries, will also contact those who are eligible for a vaccine.
"These vaccinations provide vital protection, preventing serious illness and reducing hospital admissions during the busy winter months."
People can find out if they are eligible and book now on the NHS website.
