A man has died following a collision on William Morris Way, Swindon, yesterday afternoon - 2 June.

A Swindon Police spokesperson said: "At around 1.05pm, we responded to a head-on collision between a silver Hyundai i10 and an MG HS near Great Western Academy.

"The driver of the Hyundai, a man in his 80s, was removed from his vehicle by members of the public prior to it catching alight, but sadly suffered a cardiac arrest and was declared dead at the scene.

"His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this sad time. The driver of the MG HS, a woman in her 30s, suffered injuries which are not thought to be serious.
