Olympic runner Roger Black will be the guest of honour at an event to honour the achievements of six young people who have completed the Prince’s Trust Team Programme.
The scheme, run by Swindon based charity Inner Flame, aims to develop confidence, self-esteem, resilience and independence among those those who take part.
The young champions celebration dinner, at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel is due to take place on Thursday and is sponsored by local firm Dialog Semiconductor.
Inner Flame was founded in 2008 and delivers the Prince’s Trust Team Programme in Swindon and Bath, which assists unemployed young people between the ages of 16 and 25.
Roger Black said: “I believe that young people have a huge amount to offer, so an event where businesses come together to recognise the amazing young people in their local community, is such a positive thing.”
