Tip-off leads police to arrest two teenagers and an older man on suspicion of dealing drugs

Three people have been arrested after police stopped their car and seized drugs, cash and mobile phones.

At around 1.40am officers on routine patrols stopped a red Toyota Yaris on the A419, due to intelligence the vehicle was involved in the supply of illegal drugs.

The car and the three occupants were searched and two carrier bags containing a large quantity of unknown white powder were found in the boot.

Officers also seized cash, mobile phones and smaller amounts of cannabis.

A 41-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle while unfit through drugs, possession of a Class A drug, and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17 and both from Reading, were also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

All three are currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
