Pradeep Bhardwaj nominated for the UK's largest diversity awards

Pradeep Bhardwaj, a local role model from Swindon has been nominated for the Positive Role Model at The National Diversity Awards 2018.

#NDA18 is the largest diversity awards within the UK, which celebrates the excellent achievements of Charities, Role Models and Community Heroes for their outstanding devotion to enhancing equality, diversity and inclusion.

The Liverpool Anglican Cathedral will play host to this year’s awards, to be held on 14 September. Britain’s most inspirational and selfless people will come together to honour the rich tapestry of our nation, recognising individuals and groups from grass roots communities.

In his nomination profile, Pradeep Bhardwaj explains: “After travelling to over 50 countries and having lived in 5 countries, it was here in the UK (in Swindon) I discovered my path to Nirvana. Now I take more pride as a social worker, as a community champion for the cause of equality and diversity, with a passion to bring people together. It has truly been a humbling experience for me to get involved with a host of charitable activities – Free Kitchen serving 1,142 people, Food & Clothing for underprivileged, Supporting Christmas Care Homeless Shelter, Volunteering at Care Homes, Providing food for Homeless Shelter, Fundraising £54200 for a bereaved family, £5000 for Nepal Earthquake relief, £4177 for Rotary Jaipur Limb, £2000 for Prospect Hospice.”

Microsoft and Direct Line were 2017 Headline sponsors of the UK’s largest diversity awards, attracting a growing list of supporters including Sir Lenny Henry, Graham Norton and Katie Piper.

The National Diversity Awards receives over 20,000 nominations and votes annually. Founder & CEO Paul Sesay said: "After an eye opening year we look to those who represent progress, spirit and resilience. As we enter our 7th awards season, the game changers and peace makers who remain unheard will shine under the spotlight, and reach every section of society with their passion and positivity. I look forward to learning about this year’s nominees and witnessing their spectacular journeys."
