Successful candidates will need to make a commitment to dedicate approximately two working days per month to cover regular Board meetings and working groups.

The new members were officially appointed at a meeting of the SWLEP board on 24th July and take up their roles on the Board with immediate effect.

The board also welcomes councillor Philip Whitehead, Leader of Wiltshire Council, who has replaced councillor Baroness Scott of Bybrook.

John Mortimer, Chair of the Swindon & Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “I was delighted with the number of high quality applications we received from our Board Director recruitment campaign. This is a reflection of how well our Local Enterprise Partnership is engaged with our business community and the reputation we have through delivering our innovative projects and programmes across our region. Our new Board Directors, with their expertise and backgrounds, will provide creative ideas, skills and energy to play their part in our work including approving our Local Industrial Strategy.”
