The Brunel Shopping Centre will be offering free Halloween-themed entertainment this half-term and beyond.

On Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 October, there will be free Halloween craft workshops throughout the day. Children of all ages can stop by and make Halloween puppets, plus spider and witches hats as well as three-dimensional collage pumpkins. The craft area will be on the ground floor of The Brunel Arcade, near Boswell’s Cafe and sessions take place between 10.30am and 4pm.  Booking is not needed for this craft activity.

On Wednesday 30 October, for those who pre-book, there will be free Slime Workshops.  Suitable for children aged four years and over the 45-minute long workshops will see youngsters put on lab coats and gloves and create slime with the nutty professors.  They will visit the slime bar to add eco-glitter and colour to their slime and have fun stretching it, squishing it and blowing bubbles – before putting their slime a pot to take home.  Numbers are limited on the slime workshops and so only those who have pre-booked will be able to take part.  The workshops are free and sessions take place between 10.30am and 3pm.  To book go to: https://www.thecreationstation.co.uk/kids-art-classes-and-parties/swindon-south-wiltshire and scroll down the page

The finale of this Autumn’s half-term activities is the ever popular Halloween Disco in The Crossing on Wednesday 30 October.  The disco costs just £4 per child and includes a goodie bag to take away.  Children can come dressed up for Halloween.  Suitable for children aged four and above tickets are only available in advance via The Brunel’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/events/744917882623396/ Please note that tickets cannot be purchased on the door.

Jane Stewart, Centre Manager of The Brunel said: “We are pleased to be able to offer this half-term entertainment.  The free craft workshops are always very popular and the Halloween disco is great value at just £4 per child.  Please remember that for all events at The Brunel and The Crossing Children must always be accompanied by a responsible adult.

“But the Halloween fun is not just for the youngsters.  For those over 14 we are delighted to be bringing back the Zombie Nightmare Experience.  We’ve run this twice before and it’s proved so popular that this year we’ve now partnered with the award-winning Zombie Nightmares who are running these events in shopping centres across the UK and are regarded as the UK’s best Zombie Experience.  The tickets are selling fast and so we’ve now added an additional night to meet demand.”

Zombie Nightmares lasts approximately one hour.  The shopping centre is placed on lockdown and those brave enough will navigate loading bays, back of house service corridors, car parks and the mall itself.  This is a large scale scare attraction experience involving escape room style clues, immersive moments of deep suspense, theatrical interactions and ultimately – running for your life!

To book go to: www.zombienightmare.co.uk.

Tickets cost £45 per person (plus £2.46 booking fee per ticket).

Dates: 8, 9 and now also 10 November 2019.
