Grass-roots football team Abbey Meads U15 blue squad has welcomed Metric Group as its shirt sponsor for the 2023/24 season.

This is the second year the team, which comprises players of mixed gender and abilities, has received sponsorship from the Swindon-headquartered intelligent parking company Metric Group.
Manager, Simon Cowley, founded the team seven years ago to give local children, like his sons Jack and Harry, the opportunity to play competitive football every week. Jack, now 17, coaches the team alongside local parent, Joseph, while Harry, 14, plays in goal.
Last season the team finished sixth in the North Wilts Football League and this year they’re hoping to continue with that positive momentum, after reaching the second round of the county cup.
Simon who is a production manager at Metric Group, said: “A big thank you once again to Metric Group for being this year’s shirt sponsor. Support like this is vital to keep community teams like ours going and we hope to do the Metric name justice once again this year.”
