FC Abbey Meads Under 13s Girls football team has a full playing kit and equipment for the current season thanks to Bloor Homes.
The developer, whose regional head office is in Swindon, donated the array of items, including footballs, to the nine-a-side team.
The squad plays in the North Wiltshire Youth Football League, and they are looking to gain on their second place spot from last season with their new kit.
FC Abbey Meads train and compete across Swindon, including at a location in Chippenham near a new Bloor Homes development of three-and-four-bedroom homes at Hilltop Park.
Kim Benson, Sales Director for Bloor Homes’ South West region, is eager to support women’s sport through donating to the local girls team.
She said: “With a number of teams located in our operating area, we are excited to get behind them and support the important growth of women’s football, following the rising popularity of the WSL and the England Lionesses.
"Bloor Homes is eager to promote this sport through sponsorship and help to break the barriers local clubs may face when funding the girls’ teams in our communities.”
“Good luck to the FC Abbey Meads Under 13s Girls team this season, you’ve got all of our support to go and win it!”
FC Abbeys Meads Secretary Lisa Smith said: “We are delighted to have Bloor Homes as a key sponsor for our U13 Girls Purple team.
"As a club, we are committed to providing football for all. Our girls’ section has grown from one team to five in a very short period of time and sponsorship from companies like Bloor Homes is key to our success and being able to offer more football to more girls within our community. Huge thank you to Bloor Homes for their support.”
Bloor Homes consistently supports local communities in the locations of its developments, whilst providing what it proudly describes as quality, style and increased energy-efficiency in its brand-new homes.
