The Swindon team recorded an impressive home victory over Hamptworth Croquet Club.
Swindon Croquet Club finished their competitive season on a huge high with their golf croquet team, this time captained by Tony Tomlin.
The team scored a mighty 10-2 home victory over Hamptworth Croquet Club, winning the Bustard Trophy.
The competition consisted of 12 doubles games and the Swindon team raced to a strong early advantage during the morning games.
Swindon Croquet Club maintained their lead when play resumed after the lunch break.
The team said the pairing of Dave Booth and Clive Smith was particularly impressive and the players remained unbeaten throughout the match.
This event was the last competitive match of their 2021 season.
Chairman Clive Smith said: "It was pleasing to finish the season with such a convincing win against a very strong side. We are already looking forward to next season!"
The club say social croquet and community group visits will continue for the time being, and later on things will change so just the one lawn will remain open during the winter months.
