A team of Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey Academy junior players have travelled to Canada to represent the UK in a prestigious international tournament.

The ‘Puma’s’ are a team of talented 11 and 12 year-old players who flew out last week to take part in the Quebec Peewee ice hockey tournament, an annual event bringing together junior teams from across the globe in a series of competitive games at world-class arenas.

The trip offers some fantastic development opportunities for these young sportspeople, particularly as they stay with French-speaking host families and experience local culture.

It has taken several years of planning and fundraising to make this dream trip a reality. Head Coach Ken Forshee and his team would like to thank everyone who has supported us along the way, especially during our bag packing events at local supermarkets.

The team hopes to play as many competitive games as possible and make some great memories with their hockey family.
