Clive Smith, who took up croquet seven years ago and has become an accomplished player, has recently been appointed as chairman of the Club.

Hehas taken over from John Small, who has worked tirelessly for the club, being a committee member since 2010 and Chair since 2015.

His efforts have been greatly appreciated by all members.

Clive is keen for as many as possible of the regular tournaments and events to take place this year, and said: “Everyone at the Club is so looking forward to both playing this great game again and meeting up with friends”.

The club prides itself of friendliness and welcoming and encouraging new members.

Its three full-sized lawns are well-maintained and equipment is available for visiting guests.
