Swindon Town are flying high in this term of League Two. An amazing streak of six successive wins saw them climb up to the very top of the standings. They are three points clear off the second-placed Exeter City and five above Cheltenham Town in fourth. The Robins are the main favourites to win the division
Richard Wellens took charge of the Robins just more than a year ago and he seems to be ready to guide the team towards the third tier of English football. Swindon will have a great opportunity to keep their superb thread going on Saturday, December 14th, when they play host to bottom-half strugglers Oldham Athletic at The County Ground. It should be a one-way street all the way from the start. The Latics are unbeaten in five subsequent games in the league, but they have generally been struggling a lot to find the right form on travels thus far in the season. They won only two and lost four of nine away clashes this term and have a negative 8-16 goal difference in the process.
Oldham concede almost two goals on average away from home and we can’t be quite optimistic regarding their chances of keeping things tight at the back when coming face to face with the deadliest attacking duo in the division.
