Wiltshire Police Equestrian have returned from their latest competition with more rosettes and smiling faces.
Hollie Clark attended the Forces Equine Championships held at Weston Lawns Equestrian Centre in Bedworth over the bank holiday weekend. Hollie represented the Force individually, taking along two horses.
On the first day Hollie rode her own horse, Maesmynach Heliwr (otherwise known as Hunter), and won the 85cm qualifier. They also came fourth in the 95cm qualifier show jumping classes.
Corgary Shadow (otherwise known as Alice) won both the 1.05m qualifier and the 1.10m qualifier.
On the second day Maesmynach Heliwr won the 85cm Championship, while Corgary Shadow came fifth in the 1.05m Championship.
Overall, Hollie and the horses won the mixed police team event, consisting of Wiltshire Police, Kent and the Met.
They also won the Police vs Prison section overall for the event, consisting of Hollie and representatives from Kent Police, Suffolk Police and Durham Police. Combined they had the top four highest scores across the event.
They came away with two sashes, a haul of rosettes and four winners’ rugs.
Hollie said: "I'm really proud of both horses' performances, who really stepped up to the occasion. The courses asked a few questions and I knew I had to be quick to secure any placings.
"The competition in the jumping classes were mainly serving police officers or staff, although forces equine members can be serving, non serving or family associates so it was a real mix of competitors."
