Leeds United have reportedly shown interest in a pair of Lazio players as they look to grace their return to the Premier League with as much competency as they possibly can, according to Il Messaggero.

The Whites have finally made it back to England’s top flight, following a 16-year wait, and are quite keen on making their stay a long one. As such, management and coaching appreciate the squad will have to be bolstered ahead of the beginning of the upcoming season and it appears defenders Luiz Felipe and Jordan Lukaku have become subjects of interest.

It’s been reported that owner Andrea Radrizzani has tasked his right-hand man Lorenzo Tonettu with making enquiries into the availability of the aforementioned players. The latter is said to have travelled to Rome as a result.

Leeds will kick their Premier League campaign off with a match against Champions Liverpool on September 12 and are currently 9/1 to register a win with Bet365, with the Reds at 1/4. William Hill are offering 24/5 on a draw while you could get 13/10 on an Over 3.5 Goals result with Betvictor.

It’s likely that bookies will see a number of new signups as the 2020/21 season approaches, which means there will be a whole lot of no deposit offers available. Those will be available as well as current sign up bonuses for new and existing users. Of course, thebookiesoffers.co.uk will always have the scoop.

Per the report cited above, Felipe is thought to be the prime target for Leeds. The 23-year-old centre-back has been valued at £27 as the Italian club are keen on raising funds to facilitate other purchases while the transfer window remains open. As for Lukaku, Leeds are said to be prioritizing other positions before looking to a left-back, but the Belgian seems like he would be a great fit at Eland Road given his ability to operate both as a full back and as a winger.

The Whites are out for a new centre-back and are expected to table a bid for Robin Koch of Freiburg in the coming days. However, they’re also looking into the possibility of signing Felipe, who has also emerged as a target for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. A move for the latter will likely depend on how things transpire during negotiations for Koch.

Bet365 are also offering 40/1 odds on Leeds going back down to the Championship along with West Bromwich Albion and Fulham, who have also returned to the top flight this year. The combination of Aston Villa, Fulham and Leeds is 50/1.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men are 1/10 to stay up with Paddy Power, Fulham are 4/5 and West Brom are 4/6. Meanwhile, Betfred have slapped odds of 14/1 on Leeds finishing bottom of the table but Fulham are favourites in that regard at 10/3 while the Baggies are at 7/2. If you’re looking to chance a punt on Leeds winning the Premier League in the first season of their return, then there are 200/1 odds available from most of the major bookmakers.
