New gym equipment works out well at The Manor House

Gym-goers at The Manor House in Castle Combe have been welcomed back to a fresh start to achieving their health and fitness goals with a new-look facility.

During the enforced closure, The Loft – a spacious and modern gym based at The Manor House Golf Club in Castle Combe – has installed an impressive selection of new equipment to provide extra encouragement and variety for any workout.

In addition to an upgrade to the Technogym Artis range, a new running treadmill has been added, as well as two extra bikes and two cross trainers, while a selection of new Technogym barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, power bands, density balls and balance domes are now available for use.

It all adds to the ongoing relaxed, friendly atmosphere at The Loft with a quieter environment to provide the platform for members to pursue their own individual fitness goals or to work with a personal trainer on a dedicated programme.

For keen golfers eager to make the most of the championship-standard 18-hole course in the Cotswolds, gym access is included in the membership. But the facilities are available to all and solo gym memberships are £35 per month (£50 joint).

Membership includes access to the tennis court at the main hotel with free parking, changing and shower facilities and a 10 per cent discount on food and beverages in the golf clubhouse. In addition, complimentary access is given to the Technogym MyWellness App, giving a further array of online classes.

Andy Ryan, golf club manager, said: “We know our gym members have been eager to return so it’s fantastic we have been able to provide some new updated equipment for them to enjoy.

“It has been more difficult to engage in regular exercise for many – especially with no access to indoor gym facilities and equipment throughout the lockdown periods. We’re hoping our existing members will appreciate the new additions and it may also tempt a few new members too.”
