Swindon CC's second game of the season took place during the cold and damp weather at Weston’s Bleadon ground.
Swindon CC romped ahead in the morning rounds of games with victory being assured when Clive Smith and Steve Hares combined to excellent effect, securing a comfortable doubles game win.
The Swindon team said to their credit, Weston didn’t ‘roll over’, and fought back to reduce the arrears during the final two games, leaving Swindon 11-9 winners in this 20-game match.
After the match, Captain Clive Smith thanked the home Club for their wonderful hospitality and praised the Swindon players for the quality of their play and hoop running.
He said: "This is a great result away from home and puts the Club in a promising position to secure their third league title."
Free taster sessions, with friendly tuition and equipment provided, are available at SCC’s Moredon lawns.
