The match was fought in a friendly but competitive manner with 8 of the 20 games finishing on the golden (deciding) hoop with a 7 - 6 scoreline. Fortunately 6 of these results went to Swindon which was instrumental in delivering the overall 13 -7 result. This fine win against a Bath side which was stronger than Swindon on paper, follows the creditable 10 - 10 draw with Bristol recently.
Team Captain Terry Clements, commented that he was ecstatic after this success in his first match as captain.
He also added that he was proud of the commitment, team spirit and desire to win that the whole team displayed. It was without doubt a great concerted effort.
Swindon's next game in this league is away to Bristol later this month.
