Swindon Motorsports Ltd has extended its public consultation on Studley Grange Motorsports Hub to Sunday 23 March.
The period in which people can respond to the proposed Motorsports Hub, which is a joint venture between Swindon Speedway and Gaming International, has been extended following significant interest from members of the public and motorsports fans alike.
An exhibition event was held in Royal Wootton Bassett on 15 February and attended by over 180 individuals, with overwhelming support for the Studley Grange proposals and praise for the new location.
Terry Russell, Chairman of Swindon Motorsports and Swindon Speedway, said: “Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to engage with the consultation process so far. We have been blown away by the level of support for the return of speedway and encouraged by the excitement of fans who are supportive of efforts to deliver a modern multi-use facility which secures a long-term future for speedway racing in Swindon.
“We have also received invaluable feedback from residents on technical matters related to traffic, access, and parking which we will carefully consider prior to the submission of a planning application.
“Your feedback and support make a massive difference and gives us the best chance of securing a positive outcome for the return of speedway.”
The consultation now runs from Wednesday 29 January to Sunday 23 March 2025 and motorsports fans, members of the public, and interested parties are invited to keep submitting feedback.
The full suite of consultation materials will be available on the project website: @MotorSportsHub, alongside details on how to have your say.
A spokesperson said: "Following the end of consultation, we will consider the feedback received and produce a consultation report which responds to the key issues raised. This document will be submitted alongside our planning application."
