Swindon’s own Elite Skating Academy, the UK’s leading figure skating school, welcomed local businesses, community leaders and media partners to a special official open day on Friday 26 September.
Guests were treated to exclusive behind-the-scenes access, meeting the incredible athletes and dedicated coaches and witnessing live performances from Team GB’s newest Olympic qualifier on the ice.
A spokesperson said: "This celebration marks a historic milestone: Elite Skating Academy athletes have officially qualified for a spot to represent Team GB at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan!
"As a non-profit foundation, the Academy isn’t just producing world-class figure skaters — it’s shaping the future of British skating from right here in Swindon. The Open Day offered a glimpse into the exceptional talent being developed, including multiple British Champions and international competitors."
