The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats have confirmed that forward Reed Sayers has put pen to paper on a contract extension for the 24-25 season.

Reed, a product of the Swindon junior set up, initially broke into the roster during the Spring Cup before becoming a senior member of the team in the 21-22 season

Last year he iced in 58 games in all competitions, and posted 32 points across the league, cup and playoffs. This included 12 goals and 20 assists.

Still only 23 years old, Reed has a long future ahead of him and Head Coach Aaron Nell is delighted to have him signed up in Swindon again.

Aaron said: “Reed is another big part of our forward unit, his speed and skill is something which fits really well with how we play. He’s still young and he’s still learning but over the last couple of years he’s stepped up at big moments and scored some big goals for us.

"I’m excited to have him back again, and even more excited to continue having a home-grown player stay around for at least another year. I’m hoping Reed can continue to develop and add to his game next year and I really think he can do that.”

Reed’s career has predominantly been in Swindon with the academy, but he has also played 14 games for the Cardiff Fire before stepping up to senior hockey with the Wildcats. He’s also played 5 games for Team GB at U18 level.
