Organisers of The Longevity Games have announced that Will Stone, MP for Swindon North, has officially entered The Longevity Games, which take place on Sunday 15 September.
The Longevity Games, which are a series of events and competitions focused on promoting and celebrating longevity, health and wellness, are the brainchild of Tim Howe.
They were created to give participants a comfortable place to grow and progress, and are about more than just competition—they’re about building a supportive community where everyone can challenge themselves and enjoy the journey.
Participants engage in various exercises and activities aimed at improving physical fitness and overall well-being with the goal of living a longer, healthier life. The games include a range of activities such as endurance, strength, explosive exercises, all geared towards enhancing longevity and quality of life through improved fitness and functional ability.
Tim Howe said: “I started the Longevity Games out of a passion for helping people, especially at the grassroots level. I’ve heard so much high-level thinking around fitness and wellness, but what about the average person?
“I believe fitness and well-being should be accessible to everyone, regardless of where they start”.
The next event takes place this Sunday between 9am and 3pm at the Swindon Harriers Athletics Track, in the County Ground.
Local MP for Swindon North, Will Stone, is leading by example and stepping up to take part in the event.
Will Stone has been a relentless advocate for health, fitness, and community well-being. Before entering politics, Will served as an Army Physical Training Instructor (PTI), where he developed a deep understanding of physical fitness and endurance.
A Swindon native, Will has a deep commitment to improving the lives of his constituents. When he’s not working on policy in Westminster, you can find him running in the local parks or supporting various health initiatives in Swindon.
