Suspected arson at pavilion in Penhill, Swindon

Police are investigating a fire in the pavilion in Penhill, Swindon, yesterday (19/03) which is believed to have been started deliberately.

At approximately 4.30pm, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a fire in the locked up pavilion near the disused bowling green, near to Inglesham Road. 

Officers also attended the scene and conducted an area search. 

It is believed offenders broke in to the pavilion via a window and set fire to the interior. 

As a result, the building was completely destroyed by fire. 
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area at around 4.30pm yesterday, as well as anyone who was passing the area and may have dash cam footage of the offenders.
