TV Presenter, leading influencer and social media personality Gina Akers delivered an overwhelmingly well received Key Note Speech at the recent UK Blog Awards.
Gina who is originally from Braydon near Swindon presented the speech at London’s prestigious Grosvenor Square Marriott Hotel to an audience of almost 700. Attendees included celebrities, other leading UK Influencers, the UK’s best bloggers and social media personalities, corporate delegates and event sponsors including Beverly Hills Formula, Skinny Prosecco, Clear Blue, Grenade, Visit Holland and Rogue Ponies.
The UK Blog Awards recognise Digital Content Creators in both an Individual capacity as well as Business, culminating in the premier Influencer Award Ceremony in the UK.
Gina was also the Head Judge for the awards delivering a second speech on the night on announcement of her decisions for the top award winners.
The UK Blog Awards appointed Top Influencer Gina as Head Judge due to her expertise in social media and Influencer engagement. The organisers said: “Gina’s wealth of experience and expertise in the influencer industry makes her a fantastic person for this role”.
Gina is a PR Consultant with over 20 years of PR and marketing experience including supporting events, entertainment, start up business and SME’s. She is a long established writer and blogger having written for many national titles including a blog for HELLO! Magazine online. She has provided social media and influencer engagement consultancy to many emerging and large corporate brands such as Innocent, Igloo, BirdsEye, Pop Chips, Astral, Odor-Eaters and more.
With over 21.8k real followers on Twitter alone (@ginaakers) Gina has a combined organic real following of over 72k. She is a top 10% online influencer in beauty and lifestyle, and a top 10% influencer on LinkedIn with over 22.3k followers and over 21.2k connections on the platform. She has been recognised and rewarded by LinkedIn USA for being a prolific user of the UK LinkedIn social media platform.
