A man has been disqualified from driving for a year after he was caught doing 127mph on the M4.

Milan Gurung, aged 28, of Frobisher Drive, Swindon, was stopped between junction 16 and 17 just after 9am on 15 April.

Officers from our Roads Policing Unit witnessed Gurung riding his Kawasaki ZX motorcycle 57mph over the speed limit before conducting a dangerous three vehicle undertake at speeds of over 100mph.

Gurung appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on 18 July and pleaded guilty to dangerous driving.

He was ordered to pay £85 to victim services, £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and he was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.

PC Will Ayres said: “Driving at this speed alone is dangerous and puts the driver or rider, and other road users at risk, but when combined with actions such as undertaking, the likelihood of a collision is greatly increased

“Gurung showed no regard to his or others safety, and I hope this disqualification sends a clear message to other motorists who are thinking of putting other road users lives at risk through their own dangerous and reckless actions.”
