Police are appealing for witnesses to a knifepoint robbery which occurred in Royal Wootton Bassett.

The incident occurred between 2pm and 4pm on Wednesday, October 30.

A 16-year-old boy was in the area of Daisy Brook, near to the Premier Shop, when he was approached by another male, believed to be in his early teens.

The suspect produced a knife and asked the victim what he had on him. The victim handed over a £10 note and the suspect made off towards the Premier Shop and was lost to sight.

The suspect is described as white, approximately 5 ft 7 tall, of slim build and aged around 16. He had short, mousey brown hair and a swept over fringe. He was wearing a balaclava at the time, as well as a black puffer jacket and black shoes.

PC Gareth Snoad said: “This incident happened in broad daylight in a residential area, and was no doubt very frightening for the victim. We would urge anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed the incident, or anyone who may recognise the description of the suspect to get in touch. To jog people’s memory, this happened the day before Halloween. If you are able to help, please get in touch.”
