This August Bank Holiday, 25-27, sees the first Great British Food Festival back at Bowood House, near Calne. Along with wonderful food and drink producers, there will be headline chef demos, foodie talks, live music to enjoy on the lawns.
The Chef Demo stage once again welcomes top names from the Great British Bake Off, Francis Quinn, Julie Chernogorova, Becca Lyne-Pirkis and Martha Collinson all demoing over the weekend. Alongside the celebrity chefs, some of the best regional talent will be showcasing their skills.
Dan Maycock, Festival Director, said, ‘We’re thrilled to announce the great chefs at this year’s event. The ex Bake Off stars are always popular and we have added some new faces for this as well as a more interactive ‘Bake Stage.’’
The event has lots of artisan producers who will also be showcasing the best in seasonal, and speciality food and drink. Pulled pork, prime steak and local sausages are just a few of the flavours that can be enjoyed. For those with less traditional tastes ostrich burger and Thai and Caribbean foods are also available. Discounted tickets are now available on their website.
