Purton Farm Shop will again be running their popular Easter Egg Hunt through the beautiful woods, farmland and gardens of Purton House on Saturday April 7 from 10am to 4pm. Children and their families are invited to hunt for eggs and answer clues as they follow the map through the countryside. On their way they will see how we grow food in our fields and poly tunnels, meet some animals and they may even stumble across our secret Fairy Garden! On returning to the farm shop they will receive their prize of a home-made gingerbread bunny.
Last year over 100 children came along and the Easter Bunny had a job keeping up with supplies of eggs. Says Farm Shop manager Kate Robinson 'it's great to see families enjoying themselves in the countryside and finding out how we grow our food. Everything is starting to come to life at this time of year so it's a great way to kick start the Spring season.'
Entry £2 per child payable on entry at the Farm Shop.
Purton Farm Shop is located on a working organic farm, Purton House Organics which produces home grown organic veg, fruit, free range eggs, pork, beef and lamb. Produce from the farm is sold in the Farm Shop and via our award winning box delivery scheme. The Farm Shop also stocks quality food from other local producers and has a small coffee bar serving teas, barista coffee, home made cakes and ice cream. We put on various events including Bonfire Night, Christmas Market, Easter Egg Hunt and the Festival on the Farm.
