Thieves break into industrial compound and steal lorry

Police are appealing for information following a burglary in South Marston, Swindon.

At approximately 10.30pm on August 18, Inter Haul in Hunts Rise, was broken into. 

Offenders forced entry to the compound, causing damage to the front gates before breaking in to the warehouse where they loaded a twin bed trailer with a number of pallets containing various stock.

They then made off in the vehicle. 

PC Jonathan Pearce said: “We believe this burglary was committed by an organised group who are targeting heavy goods vehicles. 

“The vehicle stolen in this incident was an Inter Haul lorry and double story trailer with the registration CF18 BVB.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and we would urge anyone with information to call us on 101 and quote crime reference number 54190081760.”
