BBC Wiltshire has today (Friday 24 February) announced that ‘Homes Under the Hammer’ presenter and 2016 ‘I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!’ campmate Martin Roberts will be joining the station on Friday 10 March 2017.

Martin will be presenting the morning show every Friday from 9am – 12 noon for eight weeks from Friday 10 March.  The new show will include topical discussion, untold Wiltshire stories, celebrity interviews and listener-led features.

Martin Roberts says: “I'm thrilled to be joining the team at BBC Wiltshire.  I started my career in BBC Local Radio and truly believe it is one of the cornerstones of UK broadcasting.  Wiltshire is an outstanding and diverse county, and I look forward to bringing as much of its character and stories to the airwaves as possible over the coming weeks.

Listeners can expect to be entertained and amused. I want them to laugh and be surprised at what they hear, and be so engaged that they feel they have to join in with what's going on - be that on the phone or in other ways.”

Shaun Hodgetts, Editor of BBC Wiltshire says: “We can’t wait to work with Martin and hear his stories of jungle life!  He understands the role that BBC Local Radio plays in the community and will brighten up Fridays for our audience.”

From 6 March BBC Points West’s Ali Vowles will be presenting the morning show on BBC Wiltshire for the next eight weeks, Monday – Thursday.
