Wiltshire Police are appealing for information to help identify a man (pictured) they wish to speak to in relation to a shoplifting offence in Swindon.

On Monday 24 October, around 3.30pm, an unknown suspect tried on some trainers at Sports Direct, Regent Street, Swindon.  He then walked out of the store without making any attempt to pay for them.

The store’s staff chased after the suspect who then got in to a car parked nearby; he threw the trainers out of the car as he drove off.

PC Emma Minty said:  "We would like to speak to the man in the attached photograph in relation to this incident.

"If you recognise him or saw or heard anything suspicious in this area at this time please contact me."

If you can help with our enquiries please contact PC Emma Minty on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
