Wiltshire Sight are launching a sunglasses hunt in support of National Eye Health Week 18 to 22 September.

Everyone is encouraged to participate by searching for strategically placed glasses and information cards.

The Devizes based charity aim to spread the word about the 17,000 visually impaired people living in Wiltshire, good eye health and how to prevent future sight loss conditions through a healthy diet and regular eye tests.

The sunglasses hunt will take place in towns across Wiltshire and once found, members of the public are encouraged to take a selfie of themselves wearing the glasses and post it to one of Wiltshire Sight’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or LinkedIn).

Wiltshire Sight want to raise awareness of the importance of eye tests for people of all ages.

CEO at Wiltshire Sight, Leanne Hubbard said: “We think the sunglasses hunt is a brilliant idea, something a bit different that engages with the public and gets the message out there for National Eye Health Week.

"Everyone at Wiltshire Sight is looking forward to seeing the responses we get from social media!"
