Witness Appeal after robbery in West Swindon

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Swindon.

At around 9:30am on Saturday 14 October, a 21 year old woman was approached by a man in a white estate car on Swinley Drive in Peatmoor. The man asked for directions before getting out of his car and threatening the victim and asking for money.

After giving the man ?20 she was pushed to the floor causing a small cut to her head. The man drove off in the direction of Purton.

The suspect is described as mixed race Asian, aged late 20s to early 30s and of medium but muscular build. He was clean shaven with dark hair and wearing a mid-grey hooded top and matching jogging bottoms. He spoke with an Asian accent.

Investigating the incident, PC Pete Fennel said: "The victim was left extremely upset by this incident, luckily she wasn't seriously injured.

"We are carrying out a full investigation and I'd like to appeal for any witnesses or anyone who may have been in the area at the time to get in touch via 101."
