Apply now for home to school travel assistance

Families who may be eligible for home to school travel assistance are being reminded to apply now for school travel assistance.

A new application must be submitted for September 2026 if any of the following apply:

• Your child is moving to secondary school
• Your child will turn eight before 1 September 2026
• Your child is in post-16 education
• You currently receive a Personal Travel Budget
• Your application was approved through an appeal last year
• Your child is changing schools or sites
• You have moved home

Submitting a new application ensures your eligibility can be reviewed and support remains in place for the new academic year.

Applications should be submitted by Friday, 26 June to help make sure transport is in place for September. Late applications will still be processed but may result in delays.

Please note: these criteria apply to SEND pupils, all mainstream pupils must reapply annually.
