A New travel hub has opened at Fleming Way Bus Boulevard, providing passengers with live travel information, journey support and customer services in the heart of Swindon's bus network.
Stagecoach West has officially opened a new travel hub at Swindon’s Fleming Way Bus Boulevard, providing passengers with access to live travel information while delivering improved facilities for drivers and operational staff.
The new facility, which opened to the public on Monday, 15/06/26, serves as a customer information centre for passengers using services across Swindon and acts as a dedicated operational base for Stagecoach drivers, controllers and network staff.
The hub was officially unveiled at a special preview event on Friday, 19/06/26, attended by local councillors, transport leaders and Stagecoach representatives. Guests included Swindon South MP Heidi Alexander and members of Swindon Borough Council.
Stagecoach West Managing Director Martin Gibbon said the investment reflects the company’s long-term commitment to Swindon and its bus network.
Mr Gibbon said: “We’re really proud to be opening this facility for all of our customers and bus users within Swindon. In addition to providing a customer information centre, the facility gives our drivers and control teams a dedicated base to support the operation of services across the town.”
He added: “Swindon is an important town. We know how important buses are in connecting people to work, education and training. Investing in a customer information centre at the heart of the new Fleming Way Bus Boulevard is the right thing to do as we continue working to encourage more people to travel by bus.”
Located at the centre of the newly transformed Fleming Way Bus Boulevard, the travel hub has been designed to improve the passenger experience by providing access to service information, journey planning support and real-time travel updates.
The facility also delivers enhanced welfare and rest facilities for drivers, helping to support frontline staff and improve the day-to-day operation of services across the network.
A spokesperson said: “The opening represents another significant milestone in the ongoing transformation of public transport infrastructure in Swindon, reinforcing the role of buses as a vital part of the town’s transport network and supporting future growth in sustainable travel.”
