Swindon Borough Council are calling for more foster carers to help care for young people in the town.
A spokesperson said: “Every day children need safe, caring homes and that’s where fostering comes in. If you are caring and committed we’d love to hear from you.”
Fostering means opening your home to a child or young person who can’t live with their own family, giving them stability, care, and support when they need it most. It could be for a short time, or longer, but the impact lasts a lifetime.
Fostering is a big step, so the council provide:
- full training before you start
- ongoing support from a dedicated team
- 24/7 advice whenever you need it
- financial support and allowances
- a network of other foster carers to connect with
