Threshold Housing Link are inviting Swindon residents to their Big Sleep Out 2018 event in December in a bid to support, and raise awareness of, homelessness.
In effort to host Swindon's largest solidarity movement to date, Threshold Housing Link will be putting on their annual Big Sleep Out event, 7 December, at the Immanuel United Reformed Church.
Hoping to give Swindon residents a better perspective on what rough sleepers endure on a daily basis, the event organisers hope that the evening will raise more awareness on what Threshold addresses as a 'global issue'. In an effort to raise money to further support the charity's work, residents are being invited to unite in solidarity for the event and be sponsored for partaking. As well as individuals Threshold are also extending a corporate invite to encourage Swindon organisations to engage with the charity's 'Business Against Homelessness' campaign.
Taking place 7 December, from 7pm, to Sunday 8 December, until 6.30am, participants will be provided with hot drinks throughout the night as well as a hot breakfast in the morning.
