GALLERY: Town centre Christmas lights switch on - were you there?

A cacophony of fireworks ushered in Christmas in the town centre - where thousands gathered to watch the festive light switch on and be entertained by X-factor star Jahmene and rap star Tinchy Stryder. Also taking to the Wharf Green stage were Voice Kids stars Phoebe Maddison and Lilia Slattery.
