Every year Haydon Wick Parish Council sets a grants budget of £6,000 to provide financial assistance to help a range of community organisations, projects and activities who provide services to its local residents. Grants are awarded three times a year in June, November and February.
In 2018/19 the Council received numerous applications and the following grants were awarded:
£250 for Shine Swindon for running support groups for new mothers who are suffering from
£500 for Swindon 105.5 to provide a community-led radio
£1000 to North Swindon Community Group for the running of the North Swindon Fun Day
£640 to Britannia Majorettes and Miniettes of Swindon to purchase new dresses for their
Miniettes troupe for the new display season
£740 for the Tuesday Art Group for their summer exhibition and annual room hire cost
£500 to Emmanuel URC Church for the running of Haydon Wick Festival
£1000 to Haydon Wick Guides & Rangers to help with the costs of their trip to France
£250 to 7th Swindon Scouts for the purchase of a new water boiler
£1000 to Swindon & Cricklade Railway for the conversion of a train carriage to accommodate
wheelchair users and carers.

The council has invited the grant recipients to its Annual Parish Meeting at 7pm on Tuesday 19th March 2019. At this public event there will be displays of the grant recipients’ projects and a chance to mingle with Councillors and Grant Representatives over a glass of wine and nibbles. Everyone is welcome to attend!
