Police are reissuing CCTV images of a man they would like to identify in relation to two robberies in Swindon.

Just before 3pm, on 17 September, at the Grange Convenience Store, Grange Drive, Stratton, an unknown man entered the shop and threatened the member of staff with a knife.  The male worker pushed the panic button and picked up a plastic stool to throw at the suspect - which caused him to run from the premises.

Just minutes later, on the same day, a man entered Ermin Food and Wine, Ermin Street, and threatened the member of staff with a knife.  He forced the male worker to open the till and then took an amount of cash and two bottles of vodka before making off.

Luckily, neither worker was hurt.

Det Con Catherine Price said:  "This was a frightening experience for both members of staff andwe are working hard to try find out who carried out these crimes.

"We're reissuing the CCTV images of the person we believe is responsible for both robberies and urging the public to take a closer look to help us identify the person responsible."

Anyone with information which could assist our enquiries should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54190092360.  Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
